How Luggage Armour came to be.
As a frequent flyer myself, I witnessed first hand the beatings my luggage would take at the hands of TSA agents, conveyor belts and carousels and realized the need for a quality Luggage Cover. I was weary of buying anything that looked good, knowing it wouldn’t last….or worse yet… that someone might inadvertently make it their own. It seem liked every other flight, I was flagging down someone who had grabbed MY bag. On two occasions I actually had to have the airline track down people who had accidentally left the airport with my bag! Another bag fallen victim to a case of mistaken identity. On a more recent trip, a coworker and I almost made it out of the airport when someone tapped him on the shoulder and said “I think you have my bag.” That’s when the idea hit me…..why not come up with something that protects my bag from the elements as well as makes it easy to identify? And so my search began, leading me first to clear vinyl covers. I instantly though of Ray Romano’s mother in-laws (in and episode of Everyone Loves Raymond) and the vinyl covers she said would NEVER come off of her couches. Ya I suppose that would have worked, but I wanted something that was both functional AND fashionable!
Being a sports fan, I wanted something with a little more flare to support my seasonal favorites…..a Seattle Mariners luggage cover in the spring, Green and yellow supporting University of Oregon football in the fall (orange and black for my business partner….the OSU Beaver fan) and grey and red in the winter to in support of the high school wrestling team I coach. Why not a luggage cover for all occasions? I didn’t know just how effective my luggage cover was until I made my first prototype (in a solid light color to best witness the results) and took it on a few trips. Each time I saw it roll out off the carousel….WOW….covered in dirt, grease and some yellow stuff I wasn’t too certain about.
Using Luggage Covers, I was able to protect my traveling investment, and do it in style! Now, Luggage Armour offers you that same piece of mind.
